Joey and Monique love the winter. In fact, Joey proposed to Monique in the snowy mountains of Big Bear in California. They grew up in California but now live in Utah. We will see how much they love the “real” winters there after experiencing “winter” in the mountains of southern California.
Anyway, the lovely pair met in an EMT class. Joey couldn’t get over Monique’s bright smile and lovely spirit. They were married on a hot, hot day in California but we found the most beautiful spot for family photos in the shade.
The greenery is something I love and am so excited to be shooting outdoor Houston weddings now.
I just love outdoor wedding photos. The buttery light, combined with greenery and the white of a wedding dress are so breathtaking. Don’t you agree!?
This last photo happened by accident. But I LOVE it. Monique was reaching down to fix her veil that was blowing. Bridal photos with movement can be so natural and beautiful!
The wedding reception was held in the same location as the ceremony and luckily for us, it significantly cooled down as the sun went down. The evening was full of celebration, family, dancing, and laughter.
And the night ended with a sparkler exit.
